I had a great experience at Ultimate Braiding. They have more than 20 chairs and at least that many technicians. I showed up at 6am on a Thursday and was seated right away. I got Senegalese twists which tend to take a little longer to do. I was on the chair for 6 1/2 hours. I got to choose the color and it felt so peaceful in there with so many other Queens. Absolutely amazing experience! Yesterday was my 3rd time at ultimate braiding, Woodlawn location and it’s safe to say I love it here! The braiders were so kind, professional, fast, and very gentle with my hair. My braids came out so neat, clean, and exactly how I wanted them. Yesterday was my second time getting knotless and honestly I have no complaints. I live about an hour away from the shop and it's worth the drive! The first time I got there around 3, was immediately seated and was done by 730. Yesterday I arrived around 3 and though it was a little packed, I only waited an hour. I still walked out of the shop at 730. Very convenient! Prices are very reasonable and I loved my hair both times!!!!...more

The shops staff are all very accommodating professional and very friendly. You’re seated front facing with a mirror iykyk. The shop was very busy but not loud or overwhelming. The atmosphere was one of calm, cleanliness and productivity.

They did a good job on my hair but I didn’t like the fact when I spoke to the owner I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair it came out how I wanted but less curls and I wanted blue and red so it could match my hair color but I guess she didn’t have it so I ended up having all red hair the original price of my hair was 280 but went to 340 when it was time to pay but other than that I have no complaints but they need to let their clients know the price of their hair once they tell them what they want done...more

Amazing experience! Afi was awesome!!!! Quiet peaceful environment while they work. I have a terrible lingering cough from asthma/allergies and being sick 3 weeks ago. I flared up like 3 times and swore they would want me to go home even tho i had a mask on! My stylist kept asking others for sympathy in french, she was SO sweet! I kept falling asleep too😂 And she prayed over me when it was all said and done!! It took 8 hours, i have long hair, but i will definitely not be going anywhere else. My last braids i paid $500 for and the results dont even touch these bohos!! $280 special btw. LOVE!...more

I discovered Ultimate Braiding on Instagram, and they did not disappoint! True to their word, they accept 5 a.m. walk-ins. I arrived at 4:50 a.m. and was seated at 5 a.m. with my braider already getting to work.
I did feed-in medium knotless and they are gorgeous just as they promoted. The braids are full and beautiful, with added hair all the way down. Definitely money well spent!

The salon is clean, and I appreciated that each braider sanitized their hands before working on clients. The staff, including my braider and the other women, were both pleasant and efficient. I was the first to arrive and the first to leave, and I noticed that other clients who came around the same time were almost done too. Typically, two people work on your hair, which I think is what makes this salon so effective. They prioritize getting you in and out in a reasonable time without compromising quality.

I had my appointment on 08/30/24 for knotless braids and the service I received was remarkable. I asked to book with a specific stylist, and that's what I got. Frida is the absolute best when it comes to braiding, especially short hair under 4 inches! I don't know what I am more impressed with, the accuracy of the parting, or the fact that my hair is red and Frida blended the burgundy hair in so good that I can't even tell the difference! All of my braids are the same size (SMALL) which could really pass for xsmall if you ask me, so you're definitely going to get your monies worth.
